How to become a travel blogger and get paid

Blogging as your profession is amazing.

Any of my friends ask me how to become a blogger/content writer and get paid.

In this article, I would like to talk about the three most important steps to becoming a travel blogger and getting paid.

How to Become a travel blogger and get paid

  1. Secure your constant income
  2. Monetizing your travel blog
  3. Be an independent travel blogger

1. Secure your constant income

First of all, to be a travel blogger means that you work completely remotely.

For some people, working remotely by yourself can be psychologically tough because you have no one to talk to about how your profession is difficult or how to solve the problem related to your profession.

Anyway, to make it possible to work completely remotely, first you want to have a client-based job such as consulting, teaching languages, or editing videos.

It doesn't have to be something related to blogging, the important point here is that you have a constant secured income that you can make through your laptop.

If you have already started your content writing career but are still not yet confident enough, the below post will be something useful.

2 Monetizing your travel blog

The second step is to start monetising your travel blog.

Your dream doesn't happen in one day but if you keep working hard, surely at some point it will happen like me.

There are several ways to monetise your travel blog such as...

  1. Google Adsense
  2. EZOIC
  3. Mediavine
  4. Direct Ad from Client
  5. Paid article
  6. etc...

I am currently running the one with Google AdSense and EZOIC.

Since my blog website is still in the process of growing to the size that can attract Direct and from my own client, I am relying on paid article and ad publishing companies.

When it comes to blogging, having multiple income resources is very important; never rely on one income resource.

When you start monetising your blog website, you will slowly feel that your blog is actually making money.

The first half a month or even a year would be something not enough to pay your rent, but the important point here is that you shall never give up.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

3 Be an independent travel blogger

The third step is that you start announcing your income from your client work and your own blog website.

What's the income from your blog website increases if you think you want to have more free time, then it's time to slowly decrease the time to spend on your client's work so last day payment from your client.

In my case, I would never cut the client's work completely because I never know what will happen to my blog.

Open till this point you may spend a couple of years more than five years, but again, "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" is a very good saying that represents the philosophy of blogging as a profession.

No professional blogger makes a living with only one cash-making post; IT NEVER HAPPENS.

To be a professional blogger means your contract with yourself that you will never stop blocking which is very difficult.

To end this post, my advice would be "If you start blogging, never give up. The first 100 articles will be very very exhausting when you get used to writing a blog article, then it becomes really easy".

I hope this post is useful for you who want to become an independent blogger.
