Costas of Sweden : Coffee Beans Review "Papua New Guinea Natural"

Hello guys.

The coffee nerd traveller is here to share the excellent coffee roastery to visit in Umeå Sweden.

The Coffee From Papua New Guinea

"How often have you tried the coffee from Papua New Guinea?"

This was the question that the barista asked me when I was trying to decide on the coffee beans for this month.

That was really a good question because I think I have never tasted coffee from Papua New Guinea, and as a serious coffee nerd, this was not good.

So, without any hesitation, I bought it.

Feature

Region: Kuli Gap, Western Highland Province
Variety: Typica, Arusha, Bourbon
Process: Natural
Roast: light
Flavour: Juicy, Winy with full body, Mango, Red berries, IPA beer, Chocolate, Spicy aroma.

Brewing Papua New Guinea with Aeropress

When I do not travel, or when I travel, the brew method is always Aeropress for me.

(Dr. Aeropress is another blog that I own.)

The first bloom should look like this⇧

The purpose of the blooming process is to release the CO2 gas from the coffee beans which was produced during its roasting process.

The second pour.

The brew method that I follow is "18g / 260cc" so I pour the hot water up until the top line of the body part.

This method is really easy because 1 scoop of Aeropress spoon is approximately 18g and if you pour to the top line of Aeropress body part, it's approximately 260cc.

Taste Review

This coffee has a really huge impact.

Since this is natural-processed coffee, it is easy to guess that the soft and round taste will be the overall impression of the sweetness.

When the temperature is high, a clear juicy and round taste comes first.

As the temperature goes down, the sweetness of mango and berries with a little bit of spicy taste appear at the same time.

Also, the fermentation-like body somehow reminds you of IPA beer hop.

DEFINITELY WORTH DRINKING !
