Costas of Sweden is the best speciality coffee roastery in Umeå, Sweden

If you are a coffee nerd visiting umeå, the beautiful Nordland of Sweden, then Costas Of Sweden is the must-go coffee roastery.

Also, for the students who are starting university life here in Umeå, you do not have to worry about the coffee quality because we got Costas Of Sweden in Umeå.

Costas Of Sweden is the coffee nerd heaven

It has been a bit more than a month since I started living in Umeå with my Working Holiday VISA, I finally went to the most famous coffee roastery in Umeå "Costas Of Sweden".

Costas of Sweden started its coffee roastery in 2006 and they have been serving great cups of coffee for more than 17 years.

As a serious coffee nerd, exploring great coffee shops all around the world is my passion.

They have enough varieties of coffee beverages and coffee beans that you can spend some time choosing.

The other coffee shops in Sweden that I have explored are in here↓

Menu

They have a quite good range of coffee beverages.

I ordered Oats Latte since it was in afternoon that I gave a visit and I wanted to have something smooth.

They do not offer Soy Latte, but if you are a person who does not drink cow milk, then this will be a very good alternative.

I went there with one of my Swedish friends and he could order something very special; Cascara Tea

To say short, Cascara Tea is the beverage that is made from coffee cherry and its skin.

Cascara Tea has less caffeine and less coffeeish taste so if you are visiting a coffee roastery with someone who is not a big fan of coffee taste, Cascara Tea will be the one that your friend can enjoy.

By the way, if you are dropping by not staying, they can serve you a nicely designed takeaway cup.

The shelf was so beautifully organised so I took a quick shot of it.

By the way, the shop itself is facing the main street of Umeå, but it is slightly difficult to find this hidden heaven, so you may want to make this place as your hideout from your busy daily life.

The pricing range for the beverage is quite affordable considering eating out in Sweden does costs.

Today's filter coffee from 36kr, white beverages (meaning espresso based beverage) around 40-60kr.

A variety of coffee beans are available

This time, I purchased the coffee beans from Costas Of Sweden, and I chose Brazilian coffee beans.

For those who may not know how to buy the coffee beans from the specially coffee roasters, there is one simple tip that I can share.

"Always tell your taste preference to the barista"

Brazil Vanderson Anaerobic

Even though I have been a coffee nerd for more than 12 years, I always ask barista what is the best they have.

This time, I bought the coffee beans from Brazil.

The coffee beans from Brazil are usually misunderstood as "boring and non-surprising", but it's never true.

The one that I bought has extraordinary chocolaty flavour as its body, and slight raisin like sweetness on top of it.

This is because the processing is "Anaerobic".

Anaerobic is the fermentation processing without any air, and Anaerobic processed coffee tends to be very mild and with strong sweetness even though the roast level is extremely light roasted.

I am 100% sure that I will come by to purchase other coffee beans they roast after I finish enjoying the first package.
