I would like to talk about the importance of a coffee mug.
Since I am actually a minimalist and a coffee lover, I would like to talk about those two are related and how to enhance your quality of life of yours by understanding the importance of your coffee mug.
Never underestimate the importance of routine
Earlier I have thought about the importance for morning routine for the better life.

Making your routine comfortable is the key to enhance the quality of life, and I assume too many people are drinking a cup of coffee in the morning would be the start of the day.
Then I have a question.
How do you spend your morning coffee time?
Is it just for caffeine?, or is it the time to relax before the busy day?
If you start your day with the berry positive feeling, you may feel your entire day is very positive and bright.
Then how can you start a positive and energetic day even though your entire schedule is very chaotic and busy?
The reason to have a mug/cup only for drinking coffee
The tip to spend how wonderful morning before you start your day is to drink your morning coffee with your favourite coffee mug.
The reason I think no one should compensate on investing to one’s favourite among only for a coffee it’s because if you start a day put the wonderful cup of coffee, then it’s kind of difficult to feel down for the whole day.
Famous “ Pavlos dog excitement” than be applied to a human being.
Since I have brought a cup of coffee for five years for my ex-girlfriend, now every time she encounters coffee shop or something related to coffee it just reminds of me, she said.
That was kind of sad story but what I want to tell you is that by sticking to the same coffee mug every single morning, regardless of what happened on the previous day what is going to happen on today, you will feel motivated and comfortable because every single morning you see the comfortable and familiar mug.

How to choose the great cup for drinking coffee
I’m going to be quite practical in this paragraph on how to choose a coffee mug to taste the best out of the coffee.
- Round Shape
- Thermal Cup
- The Design
Those three are the conditions of the coffee mug that I can think of to drink a good cup of coffee.
1. Round Shape
Being a serious coffee nerd for more than 12 years, The round shape coffee mug is something worth investing.
The coffee man with the wrong shape will give you the soft and mild taste of the coffee.
Especially if you are drinking really good cup of coffee by using a specialty coffee, then you also want to prepare a proper coffee mug.
2. Thermal Cup
Even though you can enjoy the change of the coffee taste as the coffee temperature goes down, still you may want to have a thermal mug/cup.
The reason to have a thermal mug is because it can also be used when you want to drink a cup of coffee outside especially in the winter.
Currently I’m using the coffee cup made of the recycled bamboo produced by Ecoffee.

3. The Design
Last but not least, you should not compensate on the design.
Regardless of the price, I think you should always take the design that you like the most because you are going to use it every day and if you don’t like the design, it is going to be very difficult to have a wonderful cup of coffee every morning.
I’ve written in the past blood post as well but minimalism is all about focusing.
You want to focus on something that is very important for you of course including the design of coffee mug that you’re going to use every day.
