Holiday & weekend digital detox is the easiest way to start a digital detox.

If you continue committing to the digital detox habit, you will have a completely different life.

It is difficult to start immediately but if you think you can do it, there is always a path.

This time, I would like to talk about the holiday & weekend digital detox.

If you follow the several steps, it’s so easy to do, so please take five minutes to go through this blog post to know more about how to start a weekend digital detox.

Make your Saturday into a no-digital day

The easiest way to do the digital detox, especially during the weekend is to make your Saturday into a non-digital day.

If you work Monday to Friday, then you would probably have Saturdays and Sundays off, so spending your whole Saturdays without any digital devices will be something straightforward to do valuable.

The whole idea of this method is to avoid using any digital devices for your whole Saturday.

Basically, if you do the digital detox regularly or even from time to time, it will decrease the brain burden which is called decision fatigue.

Personally, I think decision fatigue is very dangerous for all of us because if you spend your brain energy on what is not important to you, then you will have less brain energy when you want to make a decision on important topics.

If you want to know more about the relationship between digital detox and decision fatigue, please read the above article.

In the next paragraph, I would like to talk about how to do the weekend digital detox.

Prepare a box to put devices in

The first thing you want to do to do the weekend digital detox is to prepare a box in which you can put all the devices.

This is very effective because if you see digital devices close to you, then it is easy to become you want to use the device.

If you are not sure how many hours you should do the digital detox, please refer to the below articles.

The 13 hours rule is the easiest way to try your first digital detox.

However in this article, we are going to focus on the weekend digital detox, so if you think the whole-day digital detox is difficult, then please try to start from the 13 hours rule.

Also, plugging off the wi-fi before you sleep on Friday night is important.

This is to ensure you will never be using digital devices on Saturday.

Your devices are in the box, and also the Wi-Fi is plugged off so there is no way you can use visual devices on Saturday.

The next question you want to ask me is “What am I going to do without any of these devices for a whole Saturday?"

Yes, there is one easy way to be completely away from all devices without any stress; it’s to leave your home and meet your friends.

Go out to meet friends

If you have friends living close by, this method is so easy to conduct because spending time with your friends is the best way to spend the whole day without even checking your smartphone.

These days I see a lot of people using their phones while talking to their friends which looks completely rude to me.

Since I don’t have a smartphone with me, I don’t use the smartphone while talking to my friends.

And making it impossible to use digital devices while having fun with your friends also leads you to even quit social media.

There is another article of mine talking about how to quit social media for one month, so if you want to quit social media but are not quitting social media, then it’s time to do something for yourself.

Spending your whole Saturday with your friends is such an amazing way to make a strong connection with your friends and also stay away from all devices from the Internet world.

If you think you have a big problem going to town without digital devices, then you are addicted to digital devices because before the first iPhone was released, everyone was fine without a smartphone.

You think you will have trouble without your smartphone, but I think it’s not always true.

Please read the below posts about what happens if you go out without an Internet connection.

If you’re so used to using digital devices, I know it’s going to be very hard to take a break from digital devices, so to avoid the stress from doing a distal detox, I propose you start from the easiest way which is called weekend digital detox.t
