In my opinion, how you dress is very important in terms of minimalism.
The way you dress reflects the way you think.
In this post, I’m going to walk you through the way I dress to introduce what extreme minimalist looks like.
What is extreme minimalism?
In my opinion, an extreme minimalist is a person who narrows down the priority of life, and who also gives up owning most of the things that are commonly owned by many people.
I will break down the meaning of this.
As I have been writing in this blog, basically minimalism is all about focusing; this applies to the human relationship you have, the things you have, and the way you approach your own life.
The extreme minimalist does this in a very extreme way.
For example, one may have a really satisfying life with a really small amount of possession and a few friends.
If you have never thought about being a minimalist to enhance your quality of life, you may wonder what is the point of being a minimalist or even an extreme minimalist?
What are the benefits of being an extreme minimalist?
To answer those questions, I would like to share my own idea of the benefits of being an extreme minimalist.
To say it short, "Less expense, less washing time, and more portability" is the upsides of being an extreme minimalist I think.

This is the reason why I stick to having only one pair of shoes and one pair of socks for spring/summer and autumn/winter.
I will show you my wardrobe in the last paragraph, so now let's focus on understanding the benefits in terms of mentality and wardrobe.
If you were an extremely minimalist, you wouldn’t have a habit of buying so many things because you simply don’t want to own a lot of things with you.
Also in terms of wardrobe, if you have fewer clothes with you, that means you spend less time washing or drying them out and drying.
If your hobby is washing clothes then it’s totally fine, but I think for most people, washing would be some type of annoying chore to keep doing for their entire life.
The reason why I do not own many clothes is that I don’t want to spend much time washing them because at least for me, washing doesn’t produce anything except cleanliness.
Last but not least, if you own a few objects with you, it will be very easy to move to another city or even to another country.
