Sometimes being in a society is very exhausting; especially talking to people frequently or even being surrounded by lots of people.
If you live in a developed city, then it’s very difficult to avoid humans in front of you, and you may feel that you don’t want to physically be with a human being anymore.
Then it’s time to do a human detox / digital detox.
Let’s take a look at the reason why we should do a digital detox and human detox and also why those two comparatively work well together.
The advantages of Digital Detox
Grab a cup of coffee and get out of your house!
To say it short the advantage of digital detox is taking back your real life in your hand.
Through writing this blog website, I have been telling many people about the importance of digital detox.
The Advantages and Disadvantages of Digital Detox
- You will find many fun activities in the real world
- You will have less burden for your eyes
- You will be able to enjoy chatting with friends in the real world
As I have written in the above blog post, a digital detox can bring you back to the real world you truly belong to.
When I was in Tokyo, I always had this wrong feeling about the overuse of smartphones.
If you get on the train in Tokyo, you will realise that so many people are hooked on using the smartphone that no one is looking outside the screen.
Using any type of digital device is becoming so much more popular in the modern city after the rise of smartphones, and personally, I think this is something wrong.
You are physically in the train but you are not psychologically in the train; you don’t have to be super away from digital devices or social media, but when I look at the people scrawling the display for thousands of hours, I think they’re wasting their precious time.
The worst point of being hooked on the smartphone is that you will never realise yourself being hooked on.
This is why I strongly recommend checking the screen time of your devices to know how many hours you spend time in front of the digital devices.
The advantages of Human Detox
If there is an idea of digital detox, in my dictionary there is an idea of human detox.
If you continuously keep talking with people for many hours, you will feel that you want to be alone for a while.
The advantage of human detox is that you can calm yourself, you can focus on yourself and you have secured time to think about yourself which is very important in life.
Personally, I think this is because when you are talking to someone you use your brain to think about what to say or what not to say so you are definitely causing decision fatigue.
If you don’t know what decision fatigue is, below is your next blog post to read.
If you’re with other people and talking about something, they may respond to you in a way that you don’t want to or other people's opinions may be significantly different from yours, then you may feel slightly uncomfortable with it.
A combination of decision fatigue and the inability to decide everything by yourself causes exhaustion.
So if you think you are tired of talking with the people around you, then going to a forest or a park or even a small river near your home is a brilliant idea.
Since I am living in Sweden and the forest is so close to our lifestyle, when the hard winter is over, I would love to go to the forest without any devices.
Take a rest from a human society
Again, digital devices and too much interaction with people can cause significant fatigue.
If you think you are overusing digital devices or contacting people too often, then it’s time to try digital detox and human detox at the same time.
The very simple advice that I can do or you are to go into nature and get out of the crowd.
If the wheel of your life keeps running, it will eventually be broken somehow.
So if you want to take a rest from people and digital devices and even your own life, then you should definitely do it.
I’m still on my way to discovering the ideal method of digital detox so let’s try to keep up the habit of digital detox and human detox together.
After I finish posting a g blog post, I will shut down the computer and walk around in the beautiful snow in Sweden.
Thanks for reading.
