How to start your own blog with no money in 3 steps?

I am an independent professional blogger and writing blog articles is one of my passion.

If you are new to the blogging industry, you may wonder "How I can start my own blog and how does it cost?"

So in this article for beginners, I would like to share the concrete steps of starting a blog site with almost no money; the only investment you have to make is 10€ per year or something equivalent to that.

How to get a domain name for your website? 

The very first step you have to do to build your blog site is to get your domain name.

A domain name is unique to each blog; my domain name is “shinjisverige”.

To explain simply, a domain name is something like a name tag of yourself on the Internet.

If you want to build a blog website with Google Blogger, which I strongly recommend, purchasing a new domain from Google Domains would be brilliant.

A domain name can cost only 10-15 € a year, so as you think this is an investment, it is a very cost-efficient investment.

shinjisverige is taken by me but shinjisverige2 is not taken so if you see a green check icon, it means no one has taken it yet so you can use it as yours

The ending part of the domain name is up to you.

I took .com instead of. jp because even though I am Japanese, I am writing blog posts in English, because I want my blog to be read by people all over the world.

How to build your blog with Google Blogger?

The second thing you need to do after getting your own domain name is to build your blog site with some kind of blog-building system.

If you contact your domain name with Google Domains, one upside is that you don’t have to separately contract the server capacity.

The server is like your bookshelf, and the blog post is like your book.

Each book has to be on your bookshelf and your bookshelf has the capacity and its limit.

I have five years of experience using WordPress, but for beginners, I don’t recommend starting with WordPress because to maximize the function of WordPress, you need to have a bit of experience in coding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The concrete step will be explained in a different article, but starting from google blogger is a brilliant choice.

If your purpose of blogging is monetization, you have to choose a very popular category to be researched on the Internet.

If you look at the categories that I have chosen, it’s very obvious that I have chosen globally  popular genres; doesn’t matter the country, people research coffee, minimalism, travel tips, and blogging techniques

If you fail to choose a right category, it will be unlikely that your blog site will cherish in the long run.

Research keywords 

If you are running a business, you want to sell what customers want to buy, not what you want to sell, right?

Same as running a business, you have to understand the market and customers in the blogging industry as well.

Is in the blogging industry, 

• The market means the keywords because it is the way to know what people are searching for.
• The customers mean readers; The more readers you have in your blog, the more revenue you will get, so you have to be always valuable to the readers or otherwise people never visit your blog site again.
