Coffee is my passion.
Coffee is the reason why I live.
Coffee is the reason why I travel.
It is such an honour that I can keep posting blog articles about my Coffee Journey.
This time, it’s Sarutahiko Coffee in Ebisu station, Tokyo.
Basically, there are so many good coffee shops in Tokyo, so please read through my blog post with the tag “Coffee Journey“ and get some information about good coffee shops in Tokyo and in Japan.
And for the time being, I will not be in Japan so till my departure, I would like to keep posting about Japanese coffee culture and shop info.
Sarutahiko Cofee right next to Ebisu station can be your heaven.
As I’m going to leave Japan in two days to Sweden, I have been staying in Tokyo for about a week.
Ebisu is one station from Shibuya station.
Unlike Shibuya, Ebisu it’s a very calm and elegant type of neighbourhood.
Sarutahiko Coffee was founded by an actor back in 2011 in Ebisu.
I recommend going to this place when you are tired and want to rest from your long journey to Japan.
They offer both pour-over style and espresso style,
so the door is open to any type of person
regardless of the preference of the coffee.
There are several Sarutahiko Coffee in Tokyo but the one in front of Ebisu station offers you pastries as well.
The menu
The menu consists of
- Espresso & milk
- Drip coffee
- Brewed coffee
You have the various choice to customize your beverage such as adding another espresso shot, choosing soymilk instead of milk, decaf beans and so on.
If you want to know more about the menu, please read here.
I found that most of the coffee beans from Sarutahiko Coffee are pretty much roasted, in my personal opinion right before "too much roasting", so if you are looking for super light-roasted coffee, you may want to go for the coffee shops that I have listed in the below post.
I see the beautiful La Marzocco double-equipped espresso machine.
This time, I ordered a decaf soy latte because I usually drink decaf afternoon.
Every time I see the menu with "soy available", I feel like "I got my option!!!"
