Costa Coffee in Japan

Last night, I stayed at APA hotel Roppongi SIX, if you want to know more about APA hotel, please refer to the blog post "APA hotel is one of your options in Japan to stay", and I encountered with a familiar logo

It's Costa Coffee!!!

Also, if you are a coffee geek, "Coffee in Japan" will be something interesting to read because I have published many blog posts about the speciality coffee shop in Japan.

Let's go downstairs to get some fantastic espresso

There you go.

I found where to purchase the coffee from Costa Coffee.

It looks like you can pay by

  • VISA
  • Mastercard
  • LINE Pay ( Japanese QR payment service )
  • PayPay ( Japanese QR payment service )
  • Suica ( Japanese prepaid transportation card )

Off the mainstream but if you do not know about Suica, please read the below blog post.

I recommend you to get Suica right after arrival at the airport because Japan is such a train culture-based society.

OK, let's go back to coffee.

The pricing is extremely cheap considering the standard coffee price of 500 JPY in Japan.

Place a cup and process payment.

I used my Mastercard.

Once payment is confirmed, the machine starts to brew automatically.

I am waiting...

By the way, there is an instruction in English so you can switch to English mode.

My coffee is ready!!!!

The taste?

It was nothing but satisfying and much better than 100 yen convenience store coffee.

The strong and beautiful bitterness coming from espresso was way beyond my expectation.
