10 Reasons Blogging Might Not Be For You

This time, the topic is very sensational.

I want to reveal my true opinion about blogging which is 90% who start blogging will fail before publishing 100 blog posts, and another 9% will fail before making enough income from blogging.

What I want to say is that only 1% or less than 1% will survive in blogging combat because that 1% has been making enough income from blogging successfully.

The topic of this post is 10 reasons that blogging might not be for you.

I do not recommend starting blogging unless you are truly serious about monetising your blog.

10 Reasons Blogging Might Not Be For You

  1. You may get bored easily
  2. You are not professional about anything
  3. You do not like research
  4. You want the guidebook
  5. You do not have the patience
  6. You can not understand apple does not grow in a day
  7. You do not like writing
  8. You want to communicate while working
  9. You do not like working with computers
  10. You may be looking for an easy life

1 You may get bored easily

The first reason is you may get bored easily.

Some people say blogging is a creative job and I think so too, but except for thinking about the topic to write and writing, most of the tasks that you do as a professional blogger is a routine work.

You keep doing the same thing over and over again every single day.

If you do not get bored with writing blog posts, you’ll be lucky but you have to analyse the data that many specialised tools provide you, so analysing and collecting data will be the routine work that you do every day.

To be honest, I got bored with writing blog posts already several years ago but I keep writing blog articles because this is my profession and many of my friends tell me I’m good at writing.

You can get bored, but can you keep blogging until you die?

Well, I can.

2 You are not professional about anything

The second reason is that you are not professional about anything.

Creating blog posts and trying to make money from them means you have to be professional or well informed about something.

If you look at the top main menu of my blog site, you know that I’m professional/passionate about blogging minimalism, coffee and travelling.

Keeping publishing blog post means you have to keep thinking about the topic you write about, so if you choose the wrong topic, it will be such strong stress to think about the topic to write about every day.

You don’t have to be professional but at least you have to choose the topic that you are really into.

3 You do not like research

The third reason is you may not like researching.

Blogging needs a lot of research.

Especially if you are a beginner or if you’re starting a blog now, you have to research an enormous amount of information to write efficiently, plan your strategy, and monetise your blog site.

So if you do not like researching, blogging is not your field.

4 You want the guidebook

The fourth reason is you may be a person who always wants to have a guideline which leads you to the right path.

Unfortunately, there is no Bible in the blogging industry, so everything you do is like digging a tunnel towards nowhere; there is no promised income, there is no guidebook, and there is no teacher.

If you want to start your blog site for monetisation purposes, you have to be a person who can drive yourself.

There is no right or wrong so it’s always try and error.

5 You do not have patience

The fifth reason is you don’t have the patience.

Growing your blog site takes a lot of time; usually several years.

It’s not like you publish 10 posts and then you’ll become a millionaire.

It never happens because blogging is also a combat with other professional bloggers ( including me if you are writing the same keywords with me ).

If you want to get enough page views, your blog post has to be on the first page of the research result and the only way to get your posts listed on the first page is to create user-oriented content and your post has to be better than other bloggers.

The only way to make a stable income from your blog site is to keep putting on your effort, but again there is no promise.

Sometimes the growth rate will be not dramatically great as past few months, but you have to be patient, really patient.

Regardless of the everyday growth rate, what you do never changes; publish a blog post, do research and analyse, and think about the next movement.

6 You can not understand an apple does not grow in a day

The sixth reason is that you may not understand profitable blog takes a huge amount of time and work.

This is pretty similar to what I have mentioned in the previous paragraph, but I would like to highlight again that understanding success comes at some point if you keep putting in your effort it’s.

The apple is sweet and delicious because it took a long time to store the nutrients from the Earth and the Sun, and so as the blogging I think.

Keep putting in your effort and wait for the crop.

7 You do not like writing

The seventh reason is that you may not a big fan of writing.

I use voice input to write a blog post as mentioned in the article below, writing or so to speak creating content requires you to have the combination mindset of user-oriented content publishing, and the passion to create something new.

How to write blog articles fast and accurately: Use voice input and Grammarly

My suggestion is that please do not start something you don’t like.

It’s not sustainable.

8 You want to communicate while working

The eighth reason is that you may want to communicate with other people while working.

If you are a blogger and you have several contracts with companies, you can enjoy communication with the client while working but if you work fully independently, you don’t have to communicate with other people.

However in most cases, you’ll be creating blog posts by yourself in your home, so technically when you work, you are alone.

So if you are a person who wants to communicate when working and have fun with it, blogging may not fit you.

I cannot focus on creating blog posts while talking with other people.

I want silence.

9 You do not like working with computers

The ninth reason that blogging may not be for you is you don’t like working with computers.

Blogging is all about using digital devices so if you don’t like using digital devices for work, blogging will be something painful for you.

10 You may be looking for an easy life

The last reason is the blogging doesn’t suit you is maybe you're looking for an easy life.

In the previous paragraph, I have explained many times that blogging is not easy.

It is an easy start but it is not an easy crop that you can get in the short term, so you have to keep publishing blog posts and it’s non-stop work.

Writing one blog post every day has completely changed my life
